An antiseptic SUBSTANCE commonly used to disinfect patients and #39; skin in hospitals can persist on various surfaces for several hours and could contribute to the emergence of bacteria that are tolerant or even resistant to its action, according to a study published in the scientific journal Environmental Science and Technology, cited by Live Science.
