General Gheorghita Vlad, Chief of Defense Staff, was indicted yesterday by military prosecutors of the National ANTICORRUPTION Directorate in a case that concerns alleged interventions aimed at favoring the access of individuals close to the higher military environment to state-funded studies and, subsequently, to a career in the structures of the Ministry of National Defense.

The National ANTICORRUPTION Directorate (DNA) has indicted the Chief of the Defence Staff. Prosecutors allege that an action attributed to General Gheorghita Vlad contributed to the allocation of additional state-funded places for students initially admitted on a tuition-based basis.
